Chris and Alison have lived in Cape Town for more than 30 years, establishing Waterford Guest House 18 years ago. They are passionate about ensuring all their guests feel comfortable and at home, able to relax and enjoy every minute of their time in the Fairest Cape. Chris has a background in the hospitality industry, having owned and run a number of restaurants, and in more recent years, property development . Alison is the chief gardener, the one acre garden is full of indigenous and waterwise plants with a special slant on attracting birds, butterflies and feeding the bees. The veggie patch is always an ongoing experiment to see what best survives our hot dry summers. Guests are encouraged to make use of the compost buckets provided and to help themselves to fresh herbs and vegetables in season. Chris and Alison appreciate guests' privacy but are always on hand to offer advice regarding Cape Town, especially as a holiday venue. Many summer evenings are enjoyed sitting outside chatting with guests over a bottle of local wine.
